UK Government’s Net Zero Research and Innovation Framework
This Net Zero Research and Innovation Framework outlines the research and innovation required to support delivery of the UK’s Net Zero Strategy. The Framework details research and innovation challenges across the Carbon Budget and related sectors, including Power, Industry and low-carbon hydrogen supply, Carbon Capture Utilisation and Storage (CCUS) and Greenhouse Gas Removal (GGR), Heat and buildings, Transport as well as Natural resources, waste and F-gases.
It also identifies cross-cutting and systems-wide issues and linkages between sectors extending beyond technology to include research and innovation related to systems, processes, business models and the socio-economic and behavioural considerations needed to encourage green choices.
