Solar for social housing decision tool
This free tool can help social landlords understand and plan the decisions needed when designing a solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery storage project, especially when it involves extra investment.
Answer a few questions about your housing stock and priorities to receive tailored recommendations with named providers and procurement routes, whether it’s for a single building, a pilot project, or a whole portfolio.
This tool was developed by Energiesprong UK with support from the Zero Carbon Accelerator, through Enfield Council’s social housing project. The project analysed more than 4,000 homes and helped prepare solar, battery storage and heat pump projects for delivery.
It builds on the programme’s Market Assessment for Financing Solar Power on Council Housing at Scale, pilot project learning and engagement with councils, housing associations and providers.
